It’s hard to believe that a year has passed already. These past few weeks have been so hectic that I really haven’t had time to process that our first year is completed. It’s been a year of ups and downs, mostly ups. We still have a few boxes to deal with. I still feel that we are in the ‘moving in’ phase, which is weird because usually we are well beyond that feeling at 6 months. I think it has to do with me wanting to do more decorating in the house and we really have not done anymore since the 3rd month.

We have done lots with the church in a matter of one year – Reorganized the Sunday school structure with help of Sunday School Director; Changed Sunday school hour for the kids to be during the same time as the adult SS.; Started a new confirmation program for 6th graders – 8th grade; Started a Thursday night bible study; also repeated the Adult Sunday School lesson on a weekday evening for the SS teachers and other parishioners who aren’t able to attend Sunday morning.; Started a liturgy class of why we worship the way we do; started an Adult confirmation class for parishioners and new members; Changed the electric candles on the altar to oil candles; started using a Processional Cross on Communion Sundays with the newly donated processional cross; started using the different liturgies out of the new LSB; started using altar banners along with new sanctuary banners that fit in with the message for Sunday and church calendar; started doing a Sunday School hour opening where all the classes meet for 5 minutes and have a quick devotion and sing a song together before we break off into our classes.; started a Women’s Peacemaking class; started a church softball league; restarted the youth group; started a worship planning committee; started a Men’s group that meets several times throughout the year for breakfast, devotion and lots of fellowship and fun; encouraged small groups to start like the ‘biggest loser’ and ‘health club’; changed the church secretary position from being all volunteer to hiring a regular part-time secretary; started a new Holy Week tradition which include services for Maunday Thursday, Good Friday with service of Nails, and a Saturday night Easter Vigil in addition to the Easter Sunrise Service and Easter Service.; grew the ministry with the addition of a Parish Nurse and health ministry; restarted the monthly newsletter; and became very involved with the Operation Lifeline ministry that was already established for the support of family members with loved ones serving overseas in the military. Performed 2weddings and 2 baptisms, 3 funerals and had 6 new members join the church.

I think that is all the major things that I can think of right now. WHEW! Pastor Walters has been busy!!!

Also, I have been working 20-40 hours a week at the Hospital as a surgical nurse in the O.R. I am scheduled for 20 hours a week but I do pick up extra days when they are available.

This summer we went to the Amish Auction in New Wilmington and brought home 240 geraniums, 36 New Guinea impatience, 72 reg impatients, 36 dusty millers, 9 mixed flowers/hanging baskets, and bacopia.

The first part of June was filled with planting and the rest of summer is filled with watering all the flowers. : )

We also got 2 kittens last August ( Martin and Katie) and in June we got our first puppy dog that we have ever had as a family. ON June 29th we brought home Nanuk ( nan-ook) , a Siberian Husky. So now we are busier than ever with the puppy and all the flowers and church.

Seth has changed a lot in a year. He went from not liking New castle at all to liking it okay. He has a steady girlfriend, Taylor, that he met from day one. Her family has been Seth’s life line here in New Castle as far as helping him to adjust. He spends a lot of time with them and they are a great family. But we do miss him and wish he would spend a little more time with us. Seth got a job working at Dunkin Donuts. He finished his Junior year with much better grades. He is thinking he wants to be a youth counselor and will attend the local college here for a year or 2 and then transfer to Slippery Rock University which is only 25 miles away. He has enough high school credits to only have to go a half day his senior year so he plans on working in the afternoons. I wish there were more active teenagers in our church and we had a bigger youth group for him. He misses his youth group back in STL. Seth celebrated his 18th birthday recently on July 4th. We had a big party for him on the 3rd. I know he really enjoyed it and he received lots of nice gifts and cards. Hard to believe my baby is 18 now. So much happening this year.

Zach did really good in school this year. His teachers say that he is well liked and has made friends, however, he really only hangs out with one or two from church. He seems to like New Castle, but does talk about how he missed this or that in STL. Zach turned 13 this year and felt really bad for him on his birthday… there was a church meeting that kept Sean late and I had to work and was kept at work very late and so the poor guy spent his birthday alone. Seth didn’t even stay with him I thought for sure that Seth his brother would have him tag along with him. We celebrated his birthday later but as you can tell…I still feel horrible about him being alone ALL day and evening. Unforuntaley, Zach does spend too much time alone. I don’t like it and am working on changing that. I know that Zach is capable of being alone but I do not think that a boy his age should be left alone for hours on end several days/evening a week. He only hangs out with 2 kids his age from church and we can’t have him stay with those 2 families for that period of time either. I feel that I will have to just not ‘do’ as much in the Pastor’s wife role as I would like. This past year…I went on almost all the house/hospital calls with Sean, I enjoy those being a nurse and all…I feel that I can also be a blessing to them but I must remember that I am a wife -first, mother- second and ‘pastor’s wife’ last. My family especially my children must come before meeting the needs of others. I want to be everything to everyone and I know I can’t. If we had extended family here or if Seth was better about hanging out at our house then Zach wouldn’t have to be alone every evening. It’s not fair to make him attend every church meeting, counsel meeting, bible study, women’s group, funeral, hospital visit/ home visit, just so I can be with my husband and share in his ministry. At the Seminary…we had such close friends and we were like family and we all lived together on the same street! The boys were never alone. There were 100 families with the same issues and concerns right there with us.

We haven’t had much family time as there is something every night. We are invited to lots of parties and celebrations as well as all the church functions that are in the evenings and on weekends.

We were able to get away in June for a WONDERFUL vacation in Florida. We went with friends and had a great time. We saw Disney World for the first time and we had the time of our lives.

Before we went on Vacation we had the most awesome week of VBS ever!!! I will have to write about that in a separate posting with pictures.

Things that I would like to change or work on for the next year would be to have more family time. Sean is supposed to get some time off every 3 months and I would like to see him take it so we can reconnect as a family at least 4 times a year. I do not want to leave Zach alone near as much and will have to work on saying ‘no’ to things so I can be with him more.

On May 13 @ 11:05 pm one of the greatest men I have ever known completed his journey here on this earth. My Grandfather, Gerald Smith Keim, age 90, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ and was reunited with his wife of 70 years. Grandpa was without a doubt the most kind, gentle, and caring person I have known. He will… be missed. He was a prayer warrior. He prayed for his entire family and friends every night by name. It would take him an hour or so. Even when he was so sick he still prayed and praised his Savior. When the pain was so bad…he would shout praises to his LORD and pray. What a role model he was to us all. He loved to sing along with the ole time Hymns. I can still see him sitting in his chair and singing. I am so thankful that he got to make the trip to New Castle, Pa last summer and see our new home and sit on our front porch. He LOVED the front porch and the summer crisp air. Until we meet again! “Thumbs up” “SEE THIS!”

Lessons and thoughts of 2009 from The Walters Family

4 years of seminary go fast. * It is possible to be excited and sad at the same time. * No matter how many times you move, it’s still hard to say good-bye/ see you later, to friends and family. * It’s more important to unpack your heart than it is to unpack the boxes. * Trusting in The LORD is always better than trying to fix it by yourself. * Emotions change. * God never changes. * The love of a Grandma last a lifetime. * Relationships are the most important thing in life. * 12 year old boys still like to play with tanks and Lego’s. * I miss my handpicked flowers with clumps of dirt still on them. * * The real meaning of bravery is being in the car with your 17 year old who has never driven on winter roads. * 17 year olds can seem so grown up one minute and so young the next.* One minute they are sharing the meaning of life with you and seem to have a grasp of it and the next minute you are telling them they don’t know a thing about life. * It’s wonderful to hear about the dreams and plans your teenage has. * A 600 mile road trip is a great place to talk with your boys and you learn SO much. * Our Heavenly Father does a much better job of planning our future than we do. * Watching 8 years of college and many years of praying come down to one moment in time- ORDINATION was the highlight of the year. * Being able to share it with family and friends- some old and new- was wonderful. * Being welcomed by loving church members truly makes you feel Christ’s love. * Being blessed by the hard work of a church who updated a 1950’s parsonage makes it feel like a home. * Seeing Pittsburgh for the first time is exciting especially while riding in an ambulance with my hubby in the back. We are growing closer to our Savior as we also grow closer to our church family.

TRUST is what summed up our year. Before my grandma died in the spring of this year, she left me with a most powerful bible passage- this was her favorite as she would tell us grandchildren over and over; Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

The Walters’ 2008 in review:

Sean finished up his Vicarage year with a glowing report and a level 2 Chaplaincy. In September, Sean started his final year of Seminary. He is counting down the days until he gets a church and congregation. He says the wait is much the same as when we were expecting our first baby. He can’t wait to see his congregation and church, to get to know them. He prays for the church and the members everyday as we wait. “Call Day” or delivery day (smile) is in April. He is very excited about getting his Call.

Seth started his sophomore year in high school. He started driving with a permit, able for license in April. Seth was unable to play football this year due to stress fractures in his back. He loves his guitar lessons and playing his Gibson SG that he got for his birthday. Lots of great friendships and we love having these wonderful kids in our home. He is very active in the Sem-youth group. He comes home after every meeting and can’t wait to share with us what they talked about and what they did. One thing he learned this year was to keep his money in his wallet. He was putting his allowance in his jeans pocket and it would end up in the wash. We took the money out of the wash and gave him the same money and then he would put it in his pocket again and it would end up in the wash again and we kept recycling the same allowance money over and over. After several weeks, he wondered why he didn’t have any money, because he “hadn’t spent any”. Ha! He likes all his teachers/classes this year and is thinking about being a History teacher.

Zach started his 6th grade in the middle school. He loves his school and his teachers. He got eye contacts this year. He loves them! He enjoys not having to wear glasses. He started Boy Scouts this year and went on his first Father/Son 2 night canoe trip in October. Sean said after the first hour on the river, Zach was paddling like a pro and handled the rough waters very calmly. Zach also started his first of three years of confirmation classes. His class meets on Thursday night for 2.5 hours. This has been a little challenging for him with all the memory work that is required, but is learning how to balance it all with his school work. Zach loves nature and is always finding things to bring home to share with us. Rocks, sticks, flowers, caterpillars, frogs, etc. The past few weeks he is bringing me home holly. He asked me,” why in the world would anyone buy fake holly when it’s free outside?” Each rock and stick has a special meaning to it, and each one is a masterpiece.

I am still enjoying my job at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The beginning of this year I had surgery, a hysterectomy and recovered nicely. I am so excited about being a pastor’s wife and getting involved with our new church, where ever it may be. I am so blessed and thankful for my family and friends. I listed below some of the things Sean and I learned this past year and wanted to share them with you all.

Lessons of 2008

The real meaning of bravery is getting in a car with your baby boy driving downtown St. Louis * Seth handles a screaming mom and cars honking very calmly.* The most beautiful flowers in the world come from a muddy hand with clumps of dirt still on the roots. * A regular old stick has special meaning to a 11 year old boy * Doing laundry can really pay $. * When your teenager has broken up with a girl, a hug and not saying a word but just listening is truly the best medicine * Baking cookies keeps kids and their friends close by * 11 year old boys can’t have too many flashlights.* When you can’t find the tape, glue, scissors etc. look in Zach’s room first.* Children can still get Whooping Cough even after being vaccinated. *When your teenager asks for permission to do something, he doesn’t always want you to say yes. * Listening to Seth play the electric guitar is music to my ears. *I love seeing Zach’s dark brown eyes without glasses. * The zoo is a peaceful place after a snowfall.* Hiking in the winter is better than summer because when you get lost you can trace your footprints in the snow back to the car. * My children love to be prayed over and ask for it often. * The boys like Sean’s prayers at bedtime better than mine. * My husband knows how to balance work, school and family time very well. * I am so incredibly blessed and in love with my family.*

Merry Christmas!

What a strange Christmas. I learned that I definitely need to plan ahead for next year. I completely ran out of time. I had too many things to do the last week of Christmas. I still had all of Zach’s presents to buy. We had to wait for Sean’s paycheck before we bought anymore present. We have not used credit cards for christmas in 6 years, we only use what we have managed to save. We had to use some of our christmas savings for the cars. In November we got the cars (3 of them) transferred to PA and it cost much more than we thought. After the inspections, tags, registrations, driver license x 3 and the 8 new tires ( 4 were on the border line of tread and 4 were dry rotted) and the front end alignments for 2, and the brakes on one, and more miscellaneous items – the grand total came to $2,000. Ouch!

We were thankful that we had the money, but we had to use some of our christmas fund. and so….. We had to wait to the last-minute to finish buying gifts. Christmas week looked like this- 4 church services- 4 Worship folders/bulletins- christmas cookies to bake- christmas cards for 122- work 2 long days at Hospital- ended up working 34 hours in 2 days because I was on call and got “called in”. – Had to wrap Zach’s presents (never got to it). After spending 37 hours on church work and 34 hours in Hospital and after one afternoon of baking christmas cookies (couldn’t miss this tradition) and attending 4 services, I ran out of time.

Next year, I will do christmas cards the week of Thanksgiving, I will hopefully have presents bought and wrapped the week before and also hope that I am still not having to do the Worship folders/bulletins.

I will say that Sean did an amazing job with all the services! He tied everything together so well. Christmas Eve service was totally awesome. So many people said it was by far the best Christmas Eve service they have ever attended. I have to agree.

I realized that I wasn’t able to really focus on the JOY of christmas because of all the “work” that had to be done. That is why I will make a point to plan better next year so that I can stay focused on CHRIST during that week and not my to-do-list.

I share this long story to help me remember GOD faithfullness. This blog about our journey through life isn’t always just happy times and joyful celebrations but it is about the hard times as well. We, as believers in Christ, will have many hard days and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean we are weak or bad christians. It means that we live in a sinful, fallen world and we will be faced with troubles. How do we as mature christains deal with these. How do we TRUST? It can be hard when we don’t know why.

Sean and I have prayed for years that starting down this road (Ministry) that we would never hurt our boys but rather this road would be a blessing to them as well. We have had our moments of asking God why he brought us here to New Castle a few times in the last several weeks but those feeling never last long. Let me explain. This school year started off with some bumps. Right after ‘Call Day” when we found out that we were being sent to Christ Lutheran Church in New Castle, PA we starting looking into the school systems. Seth and Zach both have dyslexia and need a really good school system that can support them. We found out the the parsonage is in the “City School” district which didn’t have a very good reputation with the church members. The church council president and wife told us that there were other schools in the area that were very good and would be affordable. Our boys have always gone to public schools and we have been proud of their schools. I talked on the phone with the guidance counselor from the City school and even though their reputation was bad, I really liked what she had to say and they had a good program for learning disabled kids and dylexia. When we came out for a quick visit the end of May, I had set up an appointment with the Principal. The boys and I went to the school and the building is brand new and nice, but the kids we saw in the office looked like gansters and the place reminded us of a prison. The Principal just talked about her self and then told me that we should check out the 2 christian schools in the area! I left there with a sick feeling in my stomach. Seth said he would not go to that school ever and Zach was strangely quite. I went back to the house where we were staying and just cried. ” So what now Lord?” is all I could say. We decided to look into the other public school that is very close and had the parsonage been a few houses down, we would be in that school district anyway. Annette Miller, wife of the council president, who we were staying with, made a few phone calls and said we could stop by and see the school in the morning before we left to go back to St. Louis. They were wonderful at the school. The principal and vice principal gave us their entire morning, they talked with us, showed us around the entire school. We all loved it. Then came the cost of tuition. The tuition had been raised in recent years. Since we lived outside of the school district we would have to pay $ 16,800 for the boys to attend for one year. Half was due upon enrollment and the other half due before the second semester. There it was again…that sick feeling. There was no way! Well, if I worked full time, we could manage it but I really did not want to work full time. I had plans of being a Pastor’s wife and being very involved. Oh! how we prayed, “Lord, help us! Show us the way.” We went home with heavy hearts. Wondering how God was going to bless this situation. I remember the night when Sean and I didn’t sleep but cried and prayed knowing that God sent us to New Castle, and what was HE doing. I cried saying ’Lord, we prayed for you to bless our children with this move!” “Why would you send them to a school filled with gansters and a principal that suggest we look into other schools?” “WHY?”

Then, Sean and I decided that since we all liked the Neshannock public school we would talk with the Council President and suggest that they sell the parsonage and we rent or buy a house in the Neshannock township so the boys could attend the school they liked for free. Makes sense huh?

The Council President reminded us of all the remodeling they just did on the parsonage around $15, 000 in supplies and the church had been volunteering every weekend to do all the labor. This church worked their tushes off on this house, not to mention how it would take awhile to sell the parsonage to get a good price. We could see their point, but this was our children’s well being here we were talking about. I was a little upset that they would put this house above my children’s education. I had to keep telling myself that the LORD was in control and HE brought us here and He would not abandoned us. I knew that it was the LORD’s will that my children be in a good school. I just had to trust! Trusting is something that is so hard when it comes to our children. I can trust much easier when it has something to do with me but for my children… I want to KNOW and be in control. I had a hard time trusting God with this but Sean kept reminding me of God’s truths and His promises, I think he was telling himself as well as telling me. This was HARD.

We decided that we would stay in the parsonage and look at some private/christian schools. They seemed promising and the tuition for them was affordable. We met with the schools and enrolled the boys. Zach was going to the Christian Acadamey 3 blocks away and Seth was going to the Catholic high school in the next town over. Seth loved the high school and was excitied about going. They seemed so nice and he loved the fact that it was a smaller school with about 400 kids. Everything was set! We made it over that hurdle, so we thought.

One week before school was to start Zach’s school had recieved his records and were concerned over the amount of special help he was receiving in his last school. I wasn’t sure why this was coming up now because I had spent about 30 minutes telling them about Zach and the extra help he was getting in school. But anyway, they wanted to meet with us again to discuss this and they decided that they really didn’t have the resourses to fully help Zach. They could only provided help for him 3 days a week and he needs extra help every day. For some strange reason we felt completely fine with this and enrolled Zach in the “city school”. How thrilled I was to have them so excitied to have Zach. They have wonderful programs for kids with dylexia and he would be able to receive his speech therapy as well. The school is very nice- he is attending the intermediate school for grades 4-6th it is 4 blocks away. He loves his school and he is doing well! Praise the LORD!!!!

Seth’s first day of school at the Catholic High school was shocking. I was not expecting him to walk through the door almost in tears screaming that he HATED it and he would not ever go back! My jaw dropped opened and there was that sick feeling again!!! We got Seth calmed down and he explained that not only were the kids rude and mean but the teachers were too. He said that they hounded him all day long nit picking over things like his back pack couldn’t hang below his belt, his hair was too bushy, his socks weren’t high enough, and what really upset him was that fact that they wouldn’t let him go out to his car to get his lunch that he left in there. He told them that he had no money on him and he would go out get his lunch and come right back in and the principal could watch him get it. He was told no, and that this would be a lesson to him to never forget his lunch again. He went back to the cafeteria and sat there with out any food and no one offered anything to him and no one would even talk to him. Well, so much for a christain school huh? What is the lesson there? Any way…. Sean called the Principal up to let him know how bad Seth’s day was and get his opinion on what happened and that’s when it went from bad to worse! We were cussed out…told how stupid we were and that Seth was a liar. We were then informed that because Seth attended for one day we would have to pay the tuition for the entire semester before they would let him withdraw- they wanted $4,000 NOW! I went and un-enrolled him and then later they said I never did. OH MY!!! What in the world was going on. Why was this happening? We acted quickly and had Seth’s school in St. Louis, send a copy of his records to the city school here and we had Seth enrolled the next day. We will not pay the catholic school. Until they can show me a contract that I signed and provide me with a bill, I will not pay them. It’s been over 4 weeks and we haven’t heard anything else from them.

Seth likes his school. He doesn’t like the dress code but he keeps saying it is much better than the other one. He is doing well in school. For the first time ever he has mostly A’s. It is an easier school for sure. He is making some friends. He says there are a lot of nice kids and yes, there are some kids that he will stay away from, but atleast there are nice kids. He says he knows why things went the way they did because he didn’t want to go to the “city school” because of the reputation and after wanting to go to the catholic school and it turning out so bad, he now has every reason to make this school work.

From a mother’s point of view, I’m still not sure why we had to go through all of this just to have our kids end up still going to the city public school, but I am happy that they like their schools and are doing well.

TRUST is hard, not sure why, because GOD is faithful. GOD promises to work good for those who love HIM. Only HE will take our bad and turn it for good. I share this with all of you so you too can remember to TRUST in the Lord with all your heart and lean not onto your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your paths. Praise be to GOD!

Sean has struggled with back pain for many months. On Saturday, Aug 8th, his L5-S1 lumbar disc ruptured. He lost all control of his legs and was in excruciating pain. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest Hospital for stabilization and then was transferred to University Pittsburgh Medical Center, in Pittsburgh. He was blessed with a great surgeon, the Neurosurgeon for the STEELERS and Penguins. His surgery was a success! They removed the ruptured part that had spilled out into his spinal canal and said it was about the size of a grape. Sean woke up feeling SO much better! He walked 3 hours after surgery and we had a hard time keeping him down. He felt so good. He was sent home on Tuesday Aug. 11th. That afternoon he went to an Elders meeting and he made an appearance at the annual “Operation Lifeline” picnic that is held at our church. He was able to put in 9.5 hours the next at the office and did pre-marriage counseling for a couple that evening. He feels so much better and says he has his life back again. He is following the surgeons restrictions of not lifting anything over 5 lbs. and not bending at the waist. He is allowed to walk all he wants and he can sit for 30 minutes at a time. The Surgeon’s personal O.R. assistant is Lutheran and said he was the only one in the O.R. that knew what Sean’s tattoo was. (He has the Luther’s Rose on his left upper arm). He thought the tattoo was AWESOME! Then he found out that Sean was a Pastor and got a big kick out of it.

You know…when I married Sean he always told me that life with him will be anything but boring and he promised to keep life exciting. Well, he has kept his promise, but I need to explain to him that a little down time..quite time…is OKAY! LOL! I had to laugh on my way to Pittsburgh because I never imagined that the first time I would see Pittsburgh would be in the front seat of an Ambulance with my husband strapped to a back board in the back. ha ha!

The church family has been wonderful. They took great care of the boys! I never had to worry about them. And God does work all things together for good for those who love Him. After the medics dropped Sean withthe back board strapped to him in the hallway, and after spending an hour long ambulance ride withhim….they were so impressed with his ability to still laugh and stay positive. The 2 medics said they would like to come to our church to hear Sean preach. Cool huh? God is good all the time!

And He (Christ) gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

It was a glorious day.

It has been awhile since I have updated my blog. It’s not because I didn’t have anything to write about..it’s because I haven’t had the time to write about all the blessings. We moved in our new home, the parsonage, on July 7th. The congregation came over at 5pm and unloaded our moving trucks. This is no ordinary congregation, in that when they come over to help, they also bring with them lots of food. We had grilling of hot dogs going on in the front of the house and tables set up on the back patio with more food..wonderful food and they even brought chairs. We had a picnic at they parsonage! : )

As I was checking out the new appliances in the kitchen I discovered that my refrigerator was completely stocked with milk, cheese, eggs, butter, fresh fruits, lunch meat….to many things to name and the freezer was full as well! Can you believe it? Not only was the refrigerator/freezer full but so were my cupboards. How wonderful this was. Praise the LORD!

They have remodeled the parsonage and they worked long and hard on it for many months. It is so nice. They freshened up the landscaping and spent many hours making the outside beautiful. They put in all new appliances in the kitchen and put in beautiful granite counter tops. They laid ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathrooms and entryway. They refinished the oak hard wood floors in the hall and bedrooms. They look Gorgeous!! New carpeting down stairs in the family room and fresh paint. Just look at the pictures. They did a wonderful job on the parsonage. My favorite update is the large laundry room with 2 washers and dryers! I did 7 loads in 2 and 1/2 hours. Yippee!

The other blessing from the church was 15 days of meals. They had members sign up to bring us meals for 15 days. Yes! I haven’t even had to go the the grocery store or cook a meal. All I have had to do is push a few buttons on the microwave to reheat. They are spoiling me. What a blessing they are.

Lord, I love your people. Thank you Heavenly Father for bringing us together. Sean and I pray that our relationship with the congregation continues to grow and strengthen as we together, serve in love, the people of New Castle.

July 6th(Mon) or 7th(Tues): Moving truck will arrive and we can unload.

July 10-11th Family and Friends arriving for Ordination/Installation. Sean is honored to have Dr. Burreson, a Professor from the Seminary, preach at his Ordination! Cool huh?! We are greatly looking forward to our friend Pastor Cox from St. John, York, Pennsylvania attend with his wife. We are praying that Pastor Mayer from St. John in Lawton, OK can come as well with his wife. Pastor Mayer confirmed Sean in the faith in 1987 and married us in 1989 and Baptised our youngest son Zachary. St. John Lutheran in Lawton has been Sean’s biggest supported and we wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for their constant prayers and support.

July 12th(Sun): Sean’s Ordination and Installation as Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church. The day we have been waiting for since 1998! Yes!!!!! Par—tay!!

July 13th: Sean’s first official day of work as a Pastor. Angie’s day to cry tears of joy and to scream out loud for Sean’s finally out of school and doing what he loves!

July 14th: Wake up and wonder if it is all just a dream and shout for joy because it is real!

I will post pictures from my going away pary at work and of the new house as soon as possible. Bear with me for a week or so on the pictures.
